The one thing that spreads faster than a virus is the repeated ignorance of politicians, especially the ones that are in charge of public health. It seems politicians don’t understand virology and don’t understand scientific method. The only thing they know is the need to do something in a crisis, even if they have no idea what they’re doing.
With the appearance of the new Omicron variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, leaders throughout the world are preparing new restrictions including the need of mandate vaccines. Vaccines don’t stop the spread of any variants of the virus. In fact, cases of the new Omicron variant in the U.S. show that anybody can be hit, the fully vaccinated (with or without booster) and the unvaccinated.
At this point, we know 3 things with certainty:
1. The new variant will fade by February.
2. The public health measures won’t work.
3. The implemented restrictions will derail the economy.
