Government and Big Tech cooperate on censorship

Social media efforts to censor views are well-known. Twitter, Facebook, Google, Instagram, Tik-Tok or any of the others, are at it. Your posts can be “tagged” with warning labels like “misinformation” or you can be “shadow-banned”. You can lose a lot of followers for no real reason. You can be targeted by bots and trolls who load up your timeline with insults and threats. If you say vaccines don’t work, which is a fact now or mention masks don’t work, also a proven fact now, you are a target.

It is common knowledge now that the government is involved in censorship of various kinds. Still, in the US, the government cannot censor directly because of the First Amendment. But the government is circumventing the First Amendment by working hand-in-hand with Big Tech.

You do not believe this? Maybe you do not know that the Department of Homeland Security has a direct portal to Facebook and other social media platforms to supply social media with a target list and instructions on whom to censor. This is just one example how the government and Big Tech cooperate on censorship.
