The benefits of 5G

New technology comes along with the potential to revolutionize society. The great human advances in technology all had one thing in common: They increased labour productivity. They reduced the amount of labour needed to produce the same amount of food and other human needs and wants.
The next big thing might be the fifth-generation mobile technology, or short: 5G.

According to a recent study by the Boston Consulting Group, over the next decade, 5G deployment will contribute between $1.4 trillion and $1.7 trillion to the U.S. economy and create up to 4.6 million new jobs. Initially, that growth will come through network infrastructure deployment. After this initial phase, 5G networks will deliver significant socioeconomic benefits through higher productivity, improved cost competitiveness, and better health and safety.

Technology always marches on. Changes occur much faster than anyone expects. New technology is mostly disruptive and transformative.
