Some crowdfunding platforms basically list anyone on their sites. So, quality of these offerings vary widely. Other portals take a more thorough approach. They make sure the companies are legit and their founders have good intentions. Some sites even claim they turn away 98% of applicants. Some portals even reject start-ups, if they believe the company’s valuation is too high.
