If you are new to start-up, you need to look at a quality platform. But where can you look for deals? I’m new to startup investing. Where can I look for deals?
Here are some of the equity crowdfunding portals we look at on a regular basis.
StartEngine – https://www.startengine.com/
Republic – https://republic.co
MicroVentures – https://microventures.com/
Netcapital – https://netcapital.com/
Wefunder – https://wefunder.com/
SeedInvest – https://www.seedinvest.com/
If you are looking for a good deal, then simply inform yourself about potential deals for a while.
Look at
a) how much traction/progress a company has made
b) take note of the company’s valuation and the price you’re paying for equity
c) check out the Q&A section and see how the founders interact with potential investors
Start to invest in start-ups with small amounts first. Minimums typically go as low as $50, with the most common number being $100. Start-up investing is a learning curve. Low minimums allow you to diversify broadly into a large number of opportunities. Take advantage of it. The more quality deals you invest in, the better your chances at hitting a big winner. Remember: Most start-ups still fail but when you hit the right one, you will not only offset the losers but you can make some serious money.
