Carlos Slim, is Mexico’s richest man with a net worth of more than $70 Bln. He has a very basic tip for us: start early!
He started at age 12, buying shares of Banco Nacional de México and earning 200 pesos a week working for his father’s dry goods store.
After graduating from college, Slim started buying more stocks. In 1982 when Mexico’s economy hit rock bottom, he invested heavily in companies at extremely low prices to build his fortune.
Slim stated, “I learned from my father that you continue to invest and reinvest in your businesses, including during crises.”
His lesson for us: Create wealth.
“Wealth is like a fruit tree. The income comes from the fruit.”
