U.S. senator Mike Crapo, who chairs the Senate Banking Committee recognizes that banning crypto won’t work. The Senate took another look trying to find out how to regulate cryptocurrencies in the U.S. Sen. Crapo acknowledged that even if they wanted to, lawmakers probably couldn’t ban Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
“If the United States decided we didn’t want cryptocurrency to happen in the United States, and tried to ban it, I’m pretty confident we couldn’t succeed in doing that because this is a global tech, a global innovation”.
